This unique collectors-item is a great investment opportunity which will, apart from the benefit of owning this machine, always keep, or even increase in value, as a complete police-spec BMW out of this era can hardly ever be found on the market (or are even in existance!).
Also because of the fact that the older models like the R50, R50/2, R60, R69 & R69S are already making serious money, I'm sure that the prices of all /5 models (which are in a way still 'sleepers' now) will go up rapidly as well.
The bike is running and riding Very well, the odometer reads 59885 km/approx. 37000 mile and all lights, sirens etc. work like should!
On the bike are still all the police-spec components fitted like the blue-colored alternating "Bosch" made flash-lights, dual tone alternating "Bosch" police-horns a pair of original Police crash bars, protective heat shields on the header-pipes, single seat and a 'hatched' gas tank etc..
Furthermore the original tool-kit is still with it, as well as an owners-manual in English language, the bike's tire pump and its leather side bag (see picture).
The paint is unmarked and like can be seen VERY shiny, though like can be expected the bike is showing small traces of use and age after 41 years.
Like should both the frame and engine numbers are matching, the original frame id.-plate is still in place and it comes with its original Dutch title that holds a stamp of the Amsterdam Police Department where it has been first used when new.
The bike has been manufactured in November 1972 and was first road-registered on January 1st.1973.
