Other Polaris Slingshot description

I am selling our 2015 LE Polaris Slingshot. The vehicle is in amazing shape. I have done an extensive amount of high quality modifications to it. The car also comes with a 5 year warranty with UNLIMITED miles that I purchased from Polaris that is transferable. 

The car is now at around 201HP and weighs 1750 lbs. so it is very quick. From the factory they only have 173HP and I confirmed with dealer and none of these void the warranty. It has 7,050 miles on it and the rims and tires only have 1,000 miles. The extensive list of mods includes.

1-Alpha Cold Air Intake powdered coated orange from factory.
2-Custom Stainless Steel Headers and custom rear exhaust that loses no clearance. This was the most comprehensive mod I did and really helped with the drivability and enjoyment of the car. From the factory all slingshot vent the exhaust in the engine bay in from of passenger footwell which radiates a ton of heat into the passenger cabin. One of the biggest problems with new slingshots is the heat issue. This mod has eliminated this issue and also got the noise going out the back. I also used a high flow muffler and wrapped exhaust and muffler in titanium wrap to further reduce heat.
3-ECU reprogrammed for additional 11HP and 18lbs. of torque.
4-Added two extra headlights from polaris and made all lights LED
5-Added halo lights to all 6 from headlights for better visibility by other cars
6-Orange powder coat on cam cover to match CAI
7-Stainless Steel valve cover
8-Black 5 layer silicone coolant hoses 
9-All caps in engine compartment replaces with custom aluminum covers
10-Master cylinder brake brace added for increased brake performance
11-Upgraded brake pads 
12-Had all 3 brake calipers painted orange by body shop
13-20" rims on front with Toyo tires and 22" rim on year with huge 305 wide Toyo tire. This really helped balance out the vehicle and make the rear end look much better
14-Stainless steel belt cover
15-Brushed aluminum emergency brake cover
16-Interior stage 1 and 2 floor mats and transmission tunnel cover. Makes the interior of the car look much nicer and also cuts down on road noise and heat.
17-Upgraded speaker pods, speakers, and amp for music.
18-Carbon Fiber NRG steering wheel
19-Stainless steel shift knob
20-Short shifter installed
21-Madstad single blade windshield for increased driver comfort and ability to regulate air flow
22-Side air wings for ability to regulate air flow
23-2 helmet locks so you don't have to carry helmet with you if you choose to wear them
24-2 marine grade vinyl storage bags next to seats
25-custom leather emergency brake cover and brushed aluminum handle
26-brushed aluminum cup holders
27-transmission cover and rock guard
28-One of the other most important mods is I personally installed a layer of dynamat to entire underside of vehicle and also the engine compartment. I then went and installed a high grade DEI heat insulation that is very tough and will hold up to wear and tear of those areas. This also greatly reduced heat and road noise making driving experience very enjoyable.
29-Cover made specifically for slingshot.
30-I have a tool kit and tire repair kit including compressor that is stored in spot that you lose no storage space that doesn't come with stock slingshots.

The total amount I have in slingshot is just over $39,000 including all mods listed below.  This has been a TON of work so whoever buys the car will have a top notch slingshot that shouldn't require any more mods.

I got a request for more pictures so I will take some more today of the engine bay, interior, and of the rear exhaust exit point.  


I also got request for more info on the rear exhaust.  As mentioned above this was the mod I spent the most time on planning and executing and was by far the most difficult.  I didn't want the exhaust to be super loud but also didn't want to choke off the engine and hurt performance so after speaking with multiple sources we decided on doing 2.5" Vibrant stainless steel resonator coming off the stainless headers.  I then had a local custom motorcycle builder make a number of bends and welds out of stainless pipe to take it to a 2.25" inlet to 2" outlet Dynomax super turbo muffler.  This muffler has been shown and reviewed by many people to be one of the highest flow mufflers while still cutting down on noise significantly.  

Then through a bend it goes through the transmission tunnel and just behind transmission it hits a 2" cherry bomb glass pack and exits out the back just left of the rear tire.  Everything from the Dynomax muffler and back to the rear of the exhaust is wrapped in titanium wrap to cut down on heat.  I was first worried about doing a muffler plus two resonators but after talking with an expert in the muffler industry he said that as the exhaust gas moves through the system it actually cools rather rapidly and therefore the volume of gas condenses as it cools and moves down exhaust system.  This is reason why we were able to go from a 2.5" at beginning to a 2" at the rear.  All are very high flow and had no noticeable cut down on performance at all.  

Of course if someone wants the Slingshot to be louder all you have to do it take it to a muffler shop and have them cut out any of the mufflers which would be easy since they are all in parts of the system where the pipes are running straight.  The great thing about this system is you lose NO clearance.

I have added the pictures of the interior and the engine compartment.  As you can see from the pictures the engine is car show quality.  All the LED and Halo wiring has been done by a local auto electronics shop so all the wiring is clean looking and wire have been cut to length for aesthetics.  I have even taken a few of the factory bolts in engine bay that were starting to rust and replaced with stainless steel ones for better looks.  


Some may not be aware of the engine so in case you aren't it is a 2.4 liter GM eco-tec with a GM transmission.  This engine has been around for 10+ years and has a good history.
