Other Henderson description

1929 Henderson KJ

The antique motorcycle for sale is a 1929 Henderson KJ.  It has been in our family many years.
This motorcycle comes with a good clean Nebraska Title, and Bill of Sale.

This motorcycle was ridden by my brother in the famous Cannonball cross country race back in 2012.
The engine was completely restored about six months before the race.  The engine at the time
had the following work done:  New Pistons, new Babbitt in Rods and Mains, and Line Bored.
New Clutch, Valves etc.  Its an easy starter and runs very smoothly. I assume it has about 4000 miles on
the engine since rebuild, ( as Odometer/Speedometer was added recently).  Strong oil pressure.
Transmission shifts smoothly and all gears function normally.  Since that time, I added a freshly
rebuild original speedometer, with new cable assembly and drive gear, then set it to an estimate
of what the mileage probably is, within reason. The engine has an external oil filter installed that can easily
and quickly be removed if desired.

Please note the original, correct and very rare Schebler DLX70 carburetor !!
Correct Henderson KJ Rims, with 18" Continental Tires.  Only 4000 miles on Tires.
Good front fork. The fenders are original and in good condition, with a metal front skirt tacked
on, probably sometime in the 1950's or so. The gas tanks are in good shape and do not leak.
The ignition switch on the dash is new. The ammeter does not work. The headlight, and horn are
not wired.   Matching case numbers, as the pictures show!!  Look how nice the cooling fins are!

As with any vintage motorcycle, I cannot guarantee any future mechanical aspects. All I can
say is that it runs great now, and has since the engine was restored. The job was done right.

I will be happy to work with the shipper of your choice, but a pickup at my home is
the best option. I will not crate, or provide shipping but certainly will help with loading
and logistics. Buyer to assume all transportation costs and details.

Please let the pictures do the talking. You are bidding on exactly what you see!
I am happy to answer any questions you may have. You or your representative are encouraged to
come look at the bike in person before bidding. $500 deposit within three days.  A Cashiers or Certified Check is fine.
NO PAYPAL.  The motorcycle will not leave my possession until all funds have cleared my bank.

Very Reasonable Reserve set. This is a really fun and historic motorcycle to own and ride.
Would be an excellent candidate for museum quality restoration, or just a rider at your discretion.
I reserve the right to end the listing early as the bike is offered for sale locally.

Its been a wonderful and fulfilling experience to own.  Now it can be yours, Happy Bidding!
