Other 1981 Maico 440/T description

This Maico 440/T  is in very good condition. It has not really been ridden for 20 years. Started maybe once every couple of years. Got it all ready to get back into riding a few years ago but never did any riding.   These parts are new:

Mikuni carb set up for 440 to race - I have the original bing 54
          Front brake lever and perch
          Clutch lever and perch
          Front brake cable
          Clutch cable
          Throttle and cable
          Front fork oil and seals
          Swing arm bearings and seals
          Air filter

Metzeler front tire has some dry rot,  Kenda rear tire 50 to 70 % tread.  The original plastic side plates are gone but they can be found on eBay.  Engine was rebuilt around 1990, and the bike was used for trail riding several years after then put away until now.  There is NO title.  Buyer must arrange pick up.

More info about the condition of the bike:

One mechanical problem --  once in a while the internal spline on the kick starter will not mesh properly, so the kick starter lever can't be kicked.  When it happens, if you "rock" the bike in gear then it's fine.  It has been this way since I got the bike in 1990.

Please note:   This bike is likely a 1980 model and not 1981.  Sorry for the confusion.

The frame has been repainted. Also, on upper fork tubes near handle bars there are some rust spots.
