Norton 16H description

Making room for more toys. Up for your consideration is my 1947 Norton 16H. Recently she has received a cylinder resleeved to stock, piston, rings, valves, generator, clutch complete with rubber inserts as well. There's about 700 miles since that rebuild. Everything works. Bike starts, shifts and runs incredibly well. Very dependable. I have used it as a daily driver at times. Of course it gets lots of attention and has won a couple of awards in AMCA shows. I will send along those as they should stay with her. As pictured, there are some spares, old registrations and tools as well. Some original stuff, some repro. I've an original battery that I hollowed out and fit with a smaller 6v inside for shows. I'll send that along as well. She's a strong runner, one or two up, and enjoys field games at the shows. I hope she'll continue to thrill someone as much as she has us. She is for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction early should a local sale occur. Bike is sold as is. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Actual mileage unknown.

**Was just contacted by a prospective buyer who asked an important question. "Do the frame and motor match"? Yes they do. I have uploaded an add'l pick of the frame number as well. Thank you Chris for bringing that to my attention.

Halloween for Motorcyclists: I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle [Video]

Fri, 21 Oct 2011

Some motorcycles bite, particularly those with a kick starter. Kick starter levers sometimes “kick back” as any past or current owner of a bike with a kicker will attest. But what would you do if you discovered your bike really wanted to get you?

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

The top selling model of Bonhams annual sale of collectors’ motorcycles, a 1966 Norton 350cc Manx prepared by legendary tuner Francis Beart and raced by Joe Dunphy and Keith Heckles, fetched a whopping $100,481 last Sunday.
