Moto Guzzi CA description

The  Ambassador built specifically for the US market in 1969-1970, with the brake pedal on the right-hand side and larger capacity 757cc engine. With 9:1 compression ratio, the Ambassador was rated at 55hp SAE and reached 185km/h in testing. The Ambassador was a big success for Moto Guzzi and ten were supplied to the LAPD for testing in March 1969, with a further 85 eventually ordered and other police forces across the country followed suit. Film buffs may recall Sean Connery as James Bond riding one in “Diamonds are Forever”. For 1970 minor changes were made to the specification, with a new instrument layout consisting of both a speedometer and tachometer, and production continued to rise. This is a 3 owner bike, Original owner LAPD it was used as a Parade bike with all options ordered.  The second owner in Fl. did a complete mechanical rebuild on the engine a aircraft mechanic. I purchased the bike in 2002 and have since had a cosmetic restoration done on it and only has about 1000 miles since the rebuild. My collection of bikes and cars have increased to the point where some must find a new home. This is all the bike needs is a new home. The bike had a burgundy color changed to black.

Piaggio Multimedia Platform iPhone Connectivity Announced for Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter

Thu, 05 Jul 2012

Piaggio announced a new iPhone connectivity system set to debut on its new X10 maxi-scooter. The Piaggio Multimedia Platform (PMP) will be available as a kit for the 125cc, 350cc and 500cc versions of the Piaggio X10, and eventually may be introduced to other models in the Piaggio Group (which would include the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa.) Designed by Re:Lab, the PMP system  turns an iPhone into an onboard computer and secondary display. The kit mounts the iPhone over the Piaggio insignia on the center of the X10′s handlebar which, from the rider’s perspective, puts it just below the scooter’s standard instruments.

Moto Guzzi

Mon, 30 May 2016

Trying to distort the concept of cafe racer as little as possible, Radical Guzzi specialists in their latest work pursued two goals: speed and style. The concept was developed by former BMW designer Sylvain Berneron. The 1200cc twin Moto Guzzi Griso has been pumped up to almost a liter and a half, equipped with a 1400 California cylinder-piston group.
