Moto Guzzi 850 LeMans description

This Lemans was lightly crashed in about 1979-80. I believe it hit a curb. It was subsequently put into storage and not moved until I acquired it about 8 years ago.

At least one fork leg is bent and the rim has a slight bend. The left crash bar deflected and slightly chipped a fin (photo). The left handlebar slightly dented the tank and has surface rust in that area as well. The front fender and a side cover need fiberglass repair. The fairing windscreen has scratches. The rear wheel has deformations to the lip from non related miss handling or such.

This Lemans is very unique. As ravaged as the surfaces are, making a complete restoration necessary, the restorer will not find a better candidate. It is as original as can be. All the parts, turn indicators, body work, etc. shown, with the exception of the fuel fill and clutch/brake levers are original to this Lemans. Please note the tool tray and never seen starter solenoid cover!! The motor turns freely ( the bores will probably need attention and please assume the worst for bearings and such, but it turns quite nicely). The odometer works (I put half a mile on it with a drill). The battery has a sold date range starting in 1979. The tire are obviously worthless but are the original Pirelli phantoms.

This Lemans will be sold with a Connecticut Bill of Sale. Keys are missing. If you are consideration this bike, please call me @203 675 1343 to discuss it in full detail. Thank you!
