Offered for sale is a one of a kind pro street KZ. Stock rebuilt engine,billet timing components,back cut trans.Diamond Heads cut the fins on the head and cylinder.Engine is completely powdercoated.The MAGNA CHARGER has been rebuilt with new bearings,seals and gaskets.Powdercoated and polished housing and brackets.The carb is a single Keihin 48mm Screaming Eagle witkh a K&N filter,Pingle Guzzler and electric pump. New wiring harness,switches and ignition.Gauges restored and calibrated.The frame is raked correctly 6 deg. ,seat dropped 2",and rear frame raised 4" for suspension movement.Swingarm is a double club +8 at 14" wide. D&G outer support plate and 3" offset sprocket ,all chrome.Airbags stiffen the ride assisting the Works softtail shocks mounted under the arm.The rear wheel is a Harley style 18x8.5 with a 240mm tire.Front wheel is stock KZ with chrome spokes and hub,stock brakes.Rear has harley style rotor and grimica caliper,custom sprocket.This build has been done for several years with under 1000 mi.Paint is Metallic black and Liquid green in great condition.PICK UP ONLY.Item is for sale locally,i reserve the right to end the auction early. 219-776-4538

Kawasaki Z1R.

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.

Hopkins to Sit Out 2013 Racing Season to Recover from Injuries

American John Hopkins announced he is taking a sabbatical from racing for 2013 to recover from a number of significant injuries. Hopkins’ once very promising racing career has been hampered by both a series of bad luck and injury. It seems so long ago that Hopkins finished fourth overall in the 2007 MotoGP Championship with Suzuki.
