Basket case motorcycle mid-seat frame mod, 2 cyl.Included:-2nd overhead cam-extra set of shocks-extra gas tank (my best guess is from a kz1100)-some misc gaskets -new chain, clutch cable -Kawasaki tank decals-steel frame slugs for rebuilding the seat frame-DOM seat hoop -some other miscellaneous partsIt started, moved and stopped when I bought it, I just decided to make it a big cafe racer project that I simply don't have time to finish. Would make a great winter project for someone with a little welding and mechanical know-how. There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.

Japan Needs Your Help

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
