1978 - Kawasaki KZ1000 A2 Motorcycle (1978)
Here is a very nice low mileage bike that I picked up some time ago. When I purchased the bike it needed a little bit of attention so here is what I've done to it: It has a new seat, new rear grab bar, and had a professional paint job put on it that is fantastic- looks awesome! It has complete airbox system and owner's manual. I replaced the header with a set of very nice stock exhaust from a '79 KZ 1000, they look great on the bike. The bike runs GREAT, all electrical functions are working properly, good brakes and tires. The pictures don't due this bike justice, it is absolutely beautiful! 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 SR (1978)
I'd hate to sell this beautiful classic motorcycle, but need to make room for other things. This bike needs nothing. This year the carbs were ultrasonically cleaned and synched. The tank was cleaned and coated with Kleen. I also put new steering bearings, upgraded to All Balls needle bearings instead of the crappy ball bearings they came with. It has fresh oil in the engine and in the down tubes. New plugs and air filter. Tires have a few hundred miles in them. It also comes with shorter chrome shocks if you wish to lower it. The stock shocks are 13" and the shorter ones are 11". The paint is the original 35 year old paint and it still shines. The tank has a few minor dings (you'd have to look for them) and the clearcoat has faded a little bit in some areas. Like I said, it needs nothing, just a rider. Clear Ohio title on hand.

I am clearing house and getting rid of ALL my projects in hopes of buying a new motorcycle to ride. The bike is sitting on a steel pallet and can be picked up at a motorcycle shop west side of the Minneapolis Metro area. They have a fork lift there. Here's your chance to have a very nice original old school cruiser. Has all of the Vetter hardware that came with these bikes back in the day. The bike runs fine, I just took it for a 80 mile ride yesterday, everything works as it should. It has a brand new battery but will need tires. The seat has a split seam in the center and a mar on the right side from opening against it. Some of the paint is a little faded but overall condition. The right hand exhaust pipe has some bluing caused by a bad coil which has been replaced. Overall this bike is in nice condition, it certainly could take you anywhere you want to go. Beta/GEICO-backed Cody Webb has led since his first round victory in Las Vegas, but KTM’s five-time champion Taddy Blazusiak is hot on his heels after a big win at the last round in Atlanta and at X-Games.
