Kawasaki Other description

1976 Kawasaki KZ900 LTD

You are bidding on a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 LTD. This is the first year and only year a 900 LTD was made. I’ve owned the bike since April 1991 and bought it as you see it now. I bought the bike as a project but never did anything with it. This bike has low mileage 25,270 with a clear and clean title. The last time the bike was tagged was in 1984.

The bike did not run when I purchased it, but I do kick the motor over on the bike ever so often and seems to have good compression. It is missing 1 coil.

This bike is in overall good shape for 40 years old. It will make a good project for anyone that wants a classic. It does need the coil and side cover. The tank has dents in the top. The bike looks as if it has never been layed over or wrecked. The emblems you see in the pictures are 2 new LTD emblems that came out of an original Kawasaki package. See pics.

This Superbike was assembled and built in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Frame # KZ900B-504546/6-7  Engine # Z1E123434

I will accept a down payment of $500.00 through PayPal within 48 hours of auction closing. The balance of payment and pickup of bike is to be completed within 7 days of auction closing. Cash balance is due at the time of pickup. This bike is being sold AS-IS.

It is the buyer’s responsibility and cost to make arrangements for vehicle pick-up or shipping.

Please only serious and interested buyers bid on this Motorcycle.

I will be happy to answer any questions or if you would like to make arrangements to see the bike, please email.

WSBK 2013: Portimao Race Report

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty split a pair of victories at Portugal’s Portimao circuit while Sylvain Guintoli took advantage of some misfortune to his championship rivals to increase his lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings. Guintoli has been leading or sharing the lead in the championship since winning the first race of Round 1 in Australia, but amazingly continues to lead despite having just that single victory after six rounds. The Aprilia rider has accomplished this through his consistency (Guintoli leads all racers with nine podium finishes in 12 races) and ability to finish each race (he’s the only rider in the top seven without a DNF).

2014 Kawasaki KSR Pro Announced

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

When Honda introduced the Grom earlier this year, it kicked off a renewed interest in the monkey bike, small-sized motorcycles with a high fun-factor that made up for its single-digit horsepower output. Suzuki is on board, announcing a new electric mini-bike concept called the Extrigger. But we’d be remiss if we forget that Kawasaki has been producing a mini-bike of its own for the Asian market.

Kawasaki Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Z1

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the ground-breaking Kawasaki Z1 which made its public debut in 1972, becoming what many would regard as the world’s first superbike. Kawasaki’s first large-capacity four-stroke multi-cylinder motorcycle took center stage at the 1972  IFMA, the precursor to the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany. Together with the Honda CB750, the Kawasaki Z1 helped spearhead the popularity of the Japanese Inline-Four.
