For sale. 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900. Numbers matching Z1F 14777 Z1E14983. Original miles unknown as bike was purchased by me with Z1B speedometer. Bike has approximately 3K miles on new tires chains sprockets. Engine has new rings and valve seals. Bike starts easily shifts perfect runs perfect. Bike is fitted with reproduction exhaust and black foam seat has new cover. Paint is beautiful done by Ralph Pitlock at Paintworkz, the leading expert in Z1 painting. Bike will be sold with complete tool kit including feeler gauge and rare 10mm allen wrench and owners manual. Original 754 key fits ignition seat and steering lock, keyfob included as well. White vin sticker frame stamp and frame paint all original to bike. All lights turn indicators horn function properly

US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results
Thu, 28 Jul 2011The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .
WSBK 2013: Laguna Seca Race Report
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.
Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.
