Kawasaki Ninja description

Kawasaki Ninja 250r 2007

I picked up this bike for a couple of reasons, the biggest being my other bike was in the shop. The other being, I was wanting to see what a sport bike was like. I will admit this was a fun little bike, that doesn't feel small at all. With the six speed transmission and gearing that it has, it would easily outrun my big bike on take off and on top end. I've run this bike on the interstate with no problems keeping up with traffic on the short or the long trips. This bike has been on 75 from Kentucky to Georgia and I have to say that it is a comfortable bike to ride, hands down. Since I've picked the bike up, the following modifications have been made; a back-off module has been added to the brakes, the rear wheel fender has been removed and the turn signals moved into the tail light area. LED brake lights and turn signals in the front. The front turn signals to make it more form fitting have been added along with handlebar mirrors, which look small but provide a much greater range of view behind you. This bike was dropped by the previous owner, you can see a small repair on the fairing . Mileage will increase as I ride it to work and back most days.

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

During last weekend’s round of the eMotoRacing series, held at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the series had a special entry. Mixed among the Brammo TTXs and Empulse Rs that are normally seen in the series, the Bolt II electric motorcycle from Virginia Tech University filled a grid slot amongst them. Here, series founder, promoter and competitor, Arthur Kowitz tells us what it’s like to ride this completely student-built electric racing motorcycle.

K-Tech release 25SSK for Big Piston Forks

Mon, 21 May 2012

K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The cartridge kits have compression and rebound adjustment in both legs and are supplied with 1.5mm Flow Control Valves for a more accurate adjustment, all necessary hardware is supplied to convert the Big Piston Forks to take the cartridges but it is necessary to order the springs you require as these are not included, customer price for the 25SSK cartridges is £725.00 + VAT and are available for the following models:- Honda CBR1000RR 2012 Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009-2012 Kawasaki ZX10-R 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR600 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2012 Contact K-Tech on: +44(0)1283 559007.
