You have found an incredible bike in near perfect condition. 157 hp motor based off of legendary Z14 world beater superbike. 42,000 trouble free miles and zero issues. No engine or computer modifications. Don't let the mileage deter you on a well maintained motorcycle. Oil/Filter changed by owner at 5,000 mile intervals, rear differential oil changed every 10,000 miles and fuel tank remove and install as required for fuel pump filter replacement along with new air filter recently. All other repairs and maintenance done at Kawasaki dealer. Valve lash checked at 25,000 and was within specs. Dave Molyneux won his 17th career TT as he and passenger Patrick Farrance took the second Sidecar race of the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Molyneux is the career leader in Sidecar TT wins and third overall in total Isle of Man TT victories behind Joey Dunlop and John McGuinness. Molyneux and Farrance won the race by a good 44-second margin but they benefited greatly from a mechanical problem plaguing early race leaders John Holden and Andrew Winkle.

Kawasaki Reports Q3 2011-2012 Results

Kawasaki reported a net profit of 33.7 billion yen (US$441.9 million) for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2011, but its motorcycle and engine division continues to operate at a loss. The motorcycle and engine division, which also includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and power products, operated at a loss of 4.58 billion yen (US$60.1 million) over the first three quarters of Kawasaki‘s 2011-2012 fiscal year, including a loss of 2.2 billion yen (US$28.9 million) in the third quarter alone.

2014 Kawasaki Estrella Retro-Styled 250 Announced for Japan

Fans of classic-styled motorcycles will have to go to Japan to find the 250cc Kawasaki Estrella. The Estrella has been around since 1992 but apart from a few years of European availability in the late ’90s, has mostly been confined to Kawasaki’s home market. Updated for 2014 with a new seat and color options, the Estrella remains powered by an air-cooled 249cc Single.
