KTM SX description

This is a 2002 KTM 520 sx, I bought this bike new did a few vet races and some practice track riding but mostly it sat in the garage so I decided to convert it to a supermoto. Bike runs and rides flawlessly, changed oil every ride and cleaned air filter, changed oil filters every three or four rides. These early rfs engines are bulletproof, great for supermoto. It has a lighting coil and battery under the seat from an exc. it does still have the 4 speed but with the gearing I have it still cruises at 100+.  I have all the original wheels and parts, all manuals and I also have a white brothers 4R exhaust can. Everything I have goes with it. Tires are like new bike is ready to ride. This bike is insane on the street I'm too old for it so I'm selling it to get a Ducati diavel. Local pick up only.

2013 AMA Supercross Minneapolis Race Report

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Hometown hero Ryan Dungey put a stop to Ryan Villopoto‘s winning streak, taking the victory before 48,846 supportive fans at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. The Red Bull KTM rider from nearby Belle Plaine, Minn., stalked Monster Energy Kawasaki‘s Villopoto for most of the race before taking the lead and winning the 20-lap race by just 0.903 seconds. The win put Dungey into second place in the standings ahead of Rockstar Suzuki‘s Davi Millsaps and perhaps more importantly, cut away at Villopoto’s points lead.

Carbon Fibre race bikes, and a KTM makes it debut on the BSB Motostar rostrum

Tue, 26 Jun 2012

Many think Carbon Fibre chassis are relatively new to motorcycle racing but I can lay claim to having been there and done that almost thirty years ago. I first rode a Carbon/Kevlar 250cc Armstrong in 1983 before going on to grab four British titles and pretty much every national lap record over the next three years. I also had some top ten 250cc Grand Prix finishes although I was totally gutted when my team mate Donnie McLeod topped me by finishing 2nd in the Belgian GP at Spa.

The Moto GP 2 stroke era finally ends.

Thu, 04 Oct 2012

It might have been the fumes of the 40:1 fuel mix but I had a tear in my eye when the chequered flag came out for the last ever competitive two stroke race in the Moto GP paddock on Sunday at Aragon. With two riders on the sick list twenty two identical single cylinder KTM 125s buzzed round for fifteen laps of mayhem and sometimes eight abreast heading into the first and last corners. The sight, sound and smell were fantastic and the clean close racing was a fitting end to a very special era.
