KTM 990 SMT.

Garage kept and adult driven. This bike is in immaculate condition, not a single scratch. Last summer I replaced the battery and original tires with Michelin Pilot 3's.All service is complete and up to date as per the KTM service Manual. Great touring bike with lots of storage options. I mostly used it for commuting back and fourth to Manhattan as she gets about 37 MPG. I can deliver within 50 miles.

Recall for 6,117 MY2011 KTM and Husaberg Off-road and Competition Models

KTM and Husaberg are recalling about 6,117 off-road motorcycles due to a risk of cracked handlebar clamps. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the handlebar clamps on some off-road KTM and Husaberg models can develop cracks from normal use.

The good news KTM is updating its 690 Duke naked standard for 2012. The bad news is KTM has pulled the Duke lineup from its North American offerings. Britain’s MCN was given a test ride on a prototype of the 2012 KTM 690 Duke and revealed some of the updates.

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
