Under the Skin of a KTM RC8 R-Powered Sidecar Racer
Thu, 23 May 2013If you’ve never seen a sidecar race, you’d be amazed at how different it is from motorcycle racing. Not only do you have some entirely different physics at work with the third wheel, you also have a passenger sprawled over the chassis behind the rider, sticking his body out to either side at lean angles that would make Marc Marquez break a sweat. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days A Rousing Success
Mon, 29 Jul 2013AMA members and motorcyclists from across the country celebrated the people, machines and sport of motorcycling at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, over the July 19-21 weekend. The annual gathering of tens of thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts participated in vintage racing, took in numerous bike shows, met their motorcycling heroes, purchased vintage parts and motorcycles in the massive swap meet, spent time with old friends, and met new ones, all at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The AMA and the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, extend their appreciation to AMA members, racers, enthusiasts, collectors, restorers, fans, clubs, companies and others who supported the three-day celebration of motorcycling’s history and heroes.
KTM 'RC640' Supermono
Mon, 28 Oct 2013I don't know much about this bike but I think it's based around a KTM LC4 640 engine. I stumbled across it while searching Google and thought it was worth sharing. It's a work of art and possibly an RC640, long before KTM had even thought of putting their engines into a sportsbike.
