KTM Other description

1983 KTM 504

NO RESERVE

You Bid - You Buy

Up for sale is my 1983 KTM 504 that I bought locally over the summer and rode once.  I also rode it for about 15-20 minutes before doing this listing. It makes tire trenching power, idles, accelerates, shifts, and stops like it should.  No smoke.  The bike was set up for racing by an older gentleman years ago and it does have a Fox twin clicker rear shock.  Both the rear shock and the front forks are going to need attention.  The front and rear rims have screws in them to keep the tires from spinning on the rims.  The kill switch will need replaced, the original seat cover has seen better days, and the front tire has a slow leak.  Cold start up can be tough if the bike sits for awhile, but after it's warm it starts easily.

I don't know a lot about this particular bike or model.  I looked through the archives on eBay and found one like it for a Buy It Now price of $7,500.00.  From what I have read this is a very rare bike.

This bike is not restored - please look at the pics.  The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at my discretion.  It does not come with a title - bill of sale only.  Sold as-is.  330.614.1549 David

Moto3 proves its worth at Assen

Mon, 02 Jul 2012

Describing the action in the Moto3 race as ‘edge of the seat’ would be doing it a disservice as the train of battling riders did more than prove the worth of the 250cc four-stroke singles that were introduced this season. For the entirety of the 22 lap race the fighting was full of gasp-filled moments, in the first half of the race the top 20 were all in the same camera shot and covered by less than 2.5 seconds. Towards the end there was a breakaway group of five riders; Maverick Vinales, Sandro Cortese, Danny Kent, Luis Salom and Louis Rossi.

Josh Hayes Wins Fourth AMA Superbike Title

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

Say what you will about the depleted state of the American roadracing scene, it shouldn’t diminish the fact Hayes put in the effort and beat some formidable challengers to the title. Here, the AMA congratulates Josh Hayes on his accomplishment. Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes entered the 2013 AMA Pro SuperBike season on the heels of the most dominant campaign in the history of the series and with his primary threat no longer in the paddock.

The 2012 AMA Supercross season is shaping up to be a tight one, with four racers and former champions healthy and jockeying for position on top of the points standings. Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed, Ryan Dungey and James Stewart have all claimed wins in the first four rounds. After the second Anaheim round, the four contenders, representing four different manufacturers, are separated by just 13 points.
