KTM EXC description

1998 KTM 380 EXC

The iconic KTM 380's are becoming harder to find. This bike, not only is in great shape, but has recently been restored from the frame up. Frame was stripped and powdercoated factory grey, engine top and bottom end were professionally rebuilt, including all bearings and bushings replaced as necessary, clutch pack, fork seals, and chain were replaced as well. The plastics were upgraded from the 1999 to 2003 style, including the rear subframe.

Bike is in great shape and is ready to go for many years. The explosive power of the 380 engine is unlike any bike KTM has built. Know for its incredible powerband, yet low end power, the KTM 380 is an excellent choice for any rider.

I will ship this bike only if buyer pays for shipping. I can provide the bike in a shipping crate, to be picked up by the shipper.

Bike will come with Title, and Bill of Sale, along with receipts from the rebuild. I can send a video or more detail upon request.

Day 4 Dakar 2014: Juan Pedrero Wins Stage Aboard Sherco

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Stage 4 of the 2014 Dakar saw Juan Pedrero take his maiden victory aboard a Sherco SR 450 Rally. Although not in contention for the overall, Pedrero showed he has outgrown his previous role as Marc Coma’s lieutenant at KTM by bringing his Sherco across the finish line 3:10 faster than third place Coma and 29 seconds faster than second place finisher Francisco Lopez. Coma’s performance in today’s stage moved him to only 3:10 behind overall leader Joan Barreda.

My dream bike for 2013: The KTM 250GPR

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

I never really know when I’m asked what my dream bike would be but should Camelot shine on me this Saturday I know what I want at the moment, the KTM250GPR. At around £45,000 and with only 49bhp the Austrian firms over the counter Moto 3 racer for 2013 might not sound that appealing but I beg to differ. For starters they look stunning so I’d never get bored of looking at it in my garage but the technical spec and potential fun of taking one to a race track is what really turns me on. Far from being some motocross engine shoehorned into a steel trellis frame the 250GPR is just a small step down from Sandro Cortese’s world championship winning Moto 3 machine.
