KTM 690 Enduro R description

Amazing bike. Kinda rare as it had a low production rate in the US. If you dont know about this bike you should be googling it!

Low miles, only 1900! Bike is really clean. Im the second owner, it was practically brand new when I got it. I like riding in the woods, so I took the brand new bike out into the woods :0

The 690 does really well on the hwy or in the woods. Its a great blend for both. My opinion is that most enduro's are built for the road with some occasional dirt, the 690 is built for dirt with occasional hwy. lol. It does amazing in either place. My two favorite things about the KTM are the fly-by-wire throttle. Its very very responsive and silky smooth, no more sloppy cables to adjust or lube. The next best thing is the hydraulic clutch, feels like your riding a little tiny 2stoke its so easy. Adjustable fuel mapping, and ABS. Lots of features for sure. This thing is a wheelie and hill monster!

Low miles and practically brand new, whats not to like?

Ive added a few goodies
Zeta bark busters with integrated LED turn signals
Rear LED turn signals
Flatland Racing aluminum skid plate
HammerHead shifter.

Does have a "reconstructed" title. Previous owner had a RallyRaid kit with lots of bells and whistles and dropped it. So insurance paid him off. Bike was fine, just his rally kit was broke. The fuel injection light is on, from not having the air box temp sensor plugged in. Doesn't bother me.

Overall, a clean bike and pretty close to new, with low miles.

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

2013 KTM 1190 Adventure R Revealed

Wed, 19 Sep 2012

When news broke yesterday of leaked details of the new 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure, the first question that crossed our minds was “when do we find out about the R version?” The answer, it turns out, is today, with a new photograph of the 1190 Adventure R now surfacing. Members of ADVForum, where we found the original leaked KTM brochure, have uncovered new a studio photo of the R model as well as the non-R version. The 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure R is equipped with larger wheels than the base model, likely a 21-inch wheel up front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear (the non-R 1190 Adventure appears to sport a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel.) We are surprised the tires appear to be street tires and not knobby off-road rubbers.
