Polaris Reports Increased Results for Both Fourth Quarter and Full Year

  For the 2012 year ending December 31, 2012, Polaris Industries, Inc., (NYSE: PII) reported record net income of $4.40 per diluted share, a 38% increase compared to $3.20 per diluted share. For the fourth quarter of 2012 Polaris reported a net income of $1.24 per diluted share, up 38 percent from the prior year’s fourth quarter net income of $0.90 per diluted share. Reported net income for the full year was $312.3 million, up 37 percent from the previous year’s net income of $227.6 million.

Polaris Announces Internal Restructuring

Although the changes will not affect the Indian and Victory sales teams, Polaris Industries announced today that it had merged its sales, sales operations, service, corporate marketing and interactive team to form the Global Customer Excellence team. Allstate Offering $5,000 Grants for Best New Motorcycle Safety Ideas

We’ve previously written about Allstate‘s efforts at advancing motorcycle safety and awareness, from its “Watch for Motorcycles” sign campaign to its Rider Risk Map app on Facebook. Today, the insurance provider announced another new initiative in its Good Rides Grant program, offering $25,000 in grants for new ideas to advance motorcycle safety. Allstate is asking people to send their ideas on how to improve safety to the company’s Facebook page.
