Indian Scout 101 description

This bike has been originally purchased to Europe/Finland in the late twenties. Bike has been 91st registered motor vechile in this area 85 years ago. Bike history is known with matching engine number. I have owned it more than ten years.

Bike is not yet ready to run, but almost completed. The biggest missing parts are final painting and nickle plating of some parts. Battery is missing as well.

Engine is running. All the needed engine parts are changed to new. There are couple of small oil leakages (between transmission/primary and between crank/timing cover). I did not use any sealing glue, so it is easy to fix. (I have new gaskets, which I can give to buyer as well). My idea was to open engine when sending parts for painting.

Wiring harness is for Scout with Splitdorf magneto, mine has Bosch. Difference is that there is no generator under seat, so You need to modify wiring harness a bit. I have wiring instructions, which I can give for buyer.

Speedometer is Corbin 80 miles/hour. Horn is Remy. Seat is copy of Mesinger. Chain is not assembled, but I is available for buyer.

Bike will be sold as it is.

If You want to know more ask before making a bid. Look at other tabs in this web page as well (shipping, payment and before You buy).

Buyer will take care of pickup or shipping arrangements and costs. Shipping should be done in 14 days after listing ends. Possible taxes will be take care of buyer as well.

Vintage Bike Stash Found in Ohio

Mon, 05 Mar 2012

Brim’s Imports is a vintage motorcycle shop disguised as a used car dealership, and chances are you’ve never heard of the place or its proprietor, Tom Brim. If you’re in the market for a rare vintage motorcycle, however, it may behoove you to give Tom or his brother, Ralph, an old fashion phone call. A website does exist, brimsimport.com, but its for searching the inventory of late model car and truck parts — the cash flow supporting Tom’s motorcycle obsession.

July Is Women’s Motorcycle Month

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

In case you’ve been living under a rock, it’s hard not to notice the rising number of women getting into the sport of motorcycling. In fact, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), women riders increased by 34% between 1998 and 2003. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) also says women make up nearly 30% of students in its Basic RiderCourses program.

Custom Art Deco-era Henderson Motorcycle

Fri, 10 Sep 2010

When we saw pictures of this recently restored art-deco custom built back in 1936, we felt we needed to share them with you. A 1930 KJ Henderson provides the platform for the sculpted design originally built by O. Ray Courtney, and it’s powered by an air-cooled inline four-cylinder engine.
