1950 Indian motorcycle with vertical 149 cc engine. I have had this bike for awhile with all of the intentions of finishing the restoration, making a few changes, and riding, however, we now have another baby on the way and I simply donâ€™t have the time. (Other things are taking priority.) It runs great but needs adjustments made to the carburetor and a few other odds and ends to be road worthy. From my research, it appears to be a 250 frame with a 149 vertical motor. The motor's number plate is still blank from the factory. A classic bike that is very rare and is in nice condition. Please contact me with any questions before purchase. There is not a title recorded for this bike--bill of sale. This should make a fun bike to ride when finished!

July Is Women’s Motorcycle Month

In case you’ve been living under a rock, it’s hard not to notice the rising number of women getting into the sport of motorcycling. In fact, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), women riders increased by 34% between 1998 and 2003. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) also says women make up nearly 30% of students in its Basic RiderCourses program.

2014 Indian Big Chief Custom Revealed in New York City

The rebirth of the Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing Company continues with the unveiling of the first new custom model under Polaris Industries ownership at the New York City International Motorcycle Show. Dubbed the Indian Big Chief Custom, the one-off special is a showcase for the brand’s Genuine Indian Accessories, offering a glimpse of the possibilities for customization. The Indian Big Chief Custom was created by a crew led by the head of Polaris’s Industrial Design team Greg Brew from a 2014 Chief Classic.
