2009 Indian Motorcycles Delivered to Dealers

The long-awaited introduction of the all-new 2009 Indian Chief motorcycle has finally arrived. After almost five years of, product development, testing, speculation and dealer development, Indian Motorcycle has announced that the first shipment of 2009 Indian Chiefs has been shipped to seven dealerships across the nation. For 2009, Indian will offer four distinct Chief models, including the Chief Standard, Chief Deluxe, Chief Roadmaster and Chief Vintage with base prices ranging from $30,999 to $35,499 respectively.

Polaris Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results

The relaunch of Indian Motorcycles continues to be a resounding success for Polaris Industries, helping the company report a 107% increase in second quarter revenue from motorcycle sales. Polaris reported revenues of $103.1 million in the quarter ended June 30, more than double the $49.9 million in revenue reported over  the same quarter last year. Polaris continues to see strong demand for Indian, which relaunched last summer, while demand for Victory decreased by the mid-single digits.

Although the changes will not affect the Indian and Victory sales teams, Polaris Industries announced today that it had merged its sales, sales operations, service, corporate marketing and interactive team to form the Global Customer Excellence team.
