Indian Chief description

1948 Indian Chief DELUXE, Call Ken ,000 miles use Yellow and white paint with red pin striping 1947 dash assembly used Only a few reproduction parts used Engine and frame serial numbers match Tasteful chrome and polished aluminum accents Runs and rides great. Time for someone else to enjoy it Engine 74 cubic inch engine 80-inch rods used in the event engine upsizing is considered Engine and primary fluids are isolated to prevent cross contamination Valve rotators to prevent valve burn Cases polished and covers chromed Chromed oil pump Recently rebuilt carburetor with updated float assembly and new old stock float bowl Converted to 12-volt electrics. Generator rewound to 12 volt. New battery. Transmission Cases polished Set up for left hand shifting (throttle on right side) Frame Frame, forks and handlebars are powder coated Kicker spur reinforced Chrome fork springs and shock Sheet metal Tanks, fenders and chain guards are original Original voltmeter and speedometer Reproduction tool box, generator belt guard, rear fender rack, and Chief front fender light Wheels Polished stainless steel spokes Polished aluminum brake backing plates Powder coated rims Brake pads contoured to fit drums Coker wide white wall tires Spares Used exhaust system Used front wheel and hub Extra handlebar Specialized tools Chummee seat for two up riding Leather saddle bags Good lock and chain with leather storage bag Problems There are some deficiencies from use and storage. This is the reason for my price reduction from what I believe is the actual/comparable value Both tanks have minor leaks. I have had them re-soldered and sealed twice but 50+ years of metal fatigue has caused continued leaking. Exact reproduction metal tanks are available from several sources. New tanks need to be added before any long distance riding. There are some paint and chrome scars. The bike was dropped when loading onto a trailer and sustained some minor scratches on front fenders, handlebars, and crash bars. There are also some minor paint nicks from transport and storage. More pics available detailing damage. $25,000.00 9163161069
