1947 Indian Chief. Matching numbers, clear Oklahoma title. I did nothing to the engine it runs fine. I did replace both gears in the trans. $500 spent on gears it was jumping out of second. New shock covers, wires and $500 spent on chrome at chrome shop. New paint. Powder coat frame wheels, front end. all brgs repacked. Speedo would not hook up to my cable it needs a different end for cable, corbin speedo.  Volt meter needs lens and hooked up.12 volt system, with alternator. New chain. all lights work. Polaris Reports Q2 2012 Results

Polaris Industries reported a 110% increase in sales from its On-Road division over the second quarter of 2012. The On-Road division consists primarily of Victory Motorcycles but also includes Indian Motorcycles, electric vehicle brands Global Electric Motorcars and Goupil. The acquisitions of the latter three brands contributed to nearly a third of the overall growth.

Polaris Reports Increased Results for Both Fourth Quarter and Full Year

  For the 2012 year ending December 31, 2012, Polaris Industries, Inc., (NYSE: PII) reported record net income of $4.40 per diluted share, a 38% increase compared to $3.20 per diluted share. For the fourth quarter of 2012 Polaris reported a net income of $1.24 per diluted share, up 38 percent from the prior year’s fourth quarter net income of $0.90 per diluted share. Reported net income for the full year was $312.3 million, up 37 percent from the previous year’s net income of $227.6 million.

Pre-Polaris Indians Recalled for Cracking Rear Rims

Transport Canada has announced a recall on various Indian motorcycles from model years 2009 to 2013 because of a risk of the rims cracking. All of the recalled motorcycles were from the old Indian designs before the storied brand was acquired by Polaris Industries. But as the new owners of Indian Motorcycles, Polaris is left with the responsibility of correcting defects from previous designs.
