2014 Indian Chief Vintage-(First year). Indian Motorcycle Red with Distressed Tan leather(seats/saddlebags/accessories). 111 cu in Thunder Stroke V-Twin. Full factory warranty till February 2019. 6500 miles. All original with quick release full windshield, quick release saddlebags and passenger seat. The following Factory Indian upgrades added: -Stage 1 Air Cleaner($500) and Exhaust mufflers($700), with fishtail tips($200), and dealer calibration. -Beach Bar handlebars($200)(original bars included). -Heated Grips($300)(original grips included). -Leather Fork Bag($150)(mounted to inside windshield). -12Volt Accessory Power Kit($50)(inside fork bag). -Driver Backrest($500) -Passenger Sissy Bar and Backrest Pad($650) -Leather Accessories(floorboard trim($70), mud flaps($170), grip and lever wraps($130). (The factory accessories alone are worth over $3600, which if you buy a new Chief, you would not get any of these items, only two year warranty, plus the dealer added freight and set-up costs of another $1000+ that you don't see till you purchase). Polaris Reports Q2 2013 Results
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Polaris Industries reports a 11.8% increase in net sales and a 14.6% increase in profit over the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company earned a record $80 million in profit in the quarter, compared to $69.8 million in the same quarter last year. Most of the gains however were from Polaris’ off-road vehicles, its GEM, Goupil and Aixam small vehicles and sales of parts, garments and accessories including Klim apparel.
First Polaris-era 2012 Indian Motorcycle Rolls Off Spirit Lake Assembly Line
Wed, 31 Aug 2011A new era has begun as the first Indian Motorcycle under the ownership of Polaris Industries has been produced at the company’s Spirit Lake, Iowa, factory. The landmark first Polaris-owned Indian won’t be heading right to the showroom floor however; instead, it will undergo extensive testing and evaluation by Polaris. As such, this particular Indian Chief Vintage, and the rest of the 2012 Indian line, will be fairly similar to Indian’s previous offerings, save for some minor updates to catch any issues Polaris already discovered.
Piaggio Reports First Half 2011 Results
Wed, 27 Jul 2011The Piaggio Group reported slight increases in net sales and net profit over the first six months of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010. Net sales increased 1.1% to 830 million euros (US$1.19 billion) over the first six months of 2011, compared to 820 million euros (US$1.18 billion) in the first half of 2010. Piaggio reported a net profit of 33.3 million euros (US$47.9 million), a slight increase from the net profit of 33.1 million euros (US$47.6 million) reported last year.
