I'm listing my 2002 Indian motorcycle because it just sits in our shed most of the time. It needs to go to someone who can enjoy it. It has a 5 speed transmission, a dual leather seat, windshield, chrome spoke wheels, leather saddle bags, a new battery, & whitewall tires, I had the engine bored .20 over with new pistons & rings installed. At the same time, I had the carburetors redone. This is a really nice bike with all the power anyone needs. A new dust cover is included and it is wired for a trickle battery charger. Mon, 11 Mar 2013To mark the unveiling of its new Thunder Stroke 111 engine, Indian Motorcycle revealed a custom-built streamliner motorcycle dubbed the “Spirit of Munro“, equipped with the new Indian engine. The “Spirit of Munro” is a tribute to the Munro Special, the 1920 Indian scout that set a new land-speed record in 1967 at the Bonneville Salt Flats for under-1000cc motorcycles. The Munro Special was famously depicted in the 2005 film “The World’s Fastest Indian“, starring Anthony Hopkins.
Polaris Reports Q3 2012 Results
Thu, 18 Oct 2012Polaris reported a record third quarter including a 78% year-on-year increase in on-road vehicle sales, most of which is from Victory Motorcycles. According to the Minnesota company’s third quarter report, Polaris recorded a profit of $94.3 million in the three months ended Sept. 30, 2012, compared to a profit of $67.6 million reported in the same quarter of 2011.
