THIS IS A HARD TO FIND BIKE. IT HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD FOR MANY YEARS, BUT IT VERY RESTORABLE. THE ENGINE TURNS OVER WITH COMPRESSION. IT IS NOT RUNNING. THE BIKE APPEARS TO BE A PRETTY COMPLETE PIECE. THE FLYWHEEL COVER IS MISSING. THE FRONT FENDER IS PARTIALLY MISSING AS IT BROKE. THE REAR WHEEL DOES NOT ROLL AND WE SUSPECT LOCKED BRAKES OR FROZEN CHAIN. OVERALL A GREAT VERY HARD TO FIND PIECE FOR RESTORATION. On July 19-21, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will host one of the largest vintage motorcycle swap meets in the world at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, as hundreds of vendors and thousands of buyers converge at the largest celebration of motorcycle heritage in the US. “For many attendees, the swap meet is the top draw at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days,” said AMA Vice President of Operations Jeff Massey.

EICMA 2011 Preview: Husqvarna Nuda 900, 900R and a “Big Surprise”

Husqvarna will present its new Nuda 900R and Nuda 900 street bikes at the 2011 EICMA show, but the BMW-owned manufacturer promises to have a surprise in store. The Husqvarna Nuda 900R already made its public debut in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show, but EICMA will mark the first public appearance of the 900 version. Both models are powered by 900cc parallel Twin engines derived from BMW’s F800 engine, but the R version will have higher-spec suspension and brakes as well as various carbon fiber bits.
