Up for your consideration  is one

1967 Husqvarna 250!!!!

I'm going to tell you a factual story and  at the end of this, it is up to you,

the public to make a decision if this is what you want, can handle, and revive.

How many 1967 Husqvarnas do you think were brought into

this great country during the Sixties?

A couple thousand? Not hardly, maybe a couple hundred.

because between the CZ's, Bultaco's, and Greeves and Husqvarnas,

most of the off road bikes that were out there were Matchless, Ajs, many Triumphs &BSA's.

But people like Edison Dye saw what was to become a movement here in the

motorcycle culture of off road, and two strokes  were going to takeover by storm.

They were light weight, air cooled, and really quick on the throttle response.
The European motorcycle industry was going to make a huge dent in off road,

and were here to stay.

This Husqvarna is a simple example of the early days of Dirtbike Riding!

When real men only needed 4 to 7 inchs of travel.

Now about this Husky, yes it is in need of a complete restoration.

It does have compression, it is not seized.

It has the early front 19 inch wheel.

It has the English 4.00X19 Dunlop tire,

the bottom part is flat, but the top is holding air.

It has the Bing Carb with the sidebowl.

I had the seat redone with new foam and upholstery

just like when I used to race District 37 in the early 70's.

It has no spark. It has points, and the coil is behind the ignition.

I have narrowed it down to a loose spark plug wire off the coil.

The Coil is internal

It is a 4 speed, right hand shift, with a bolt together frame.

It is the original gas tank.

AND is incredibly clean inside!

It has the Magura trap door throttle.

It has the original real aluminum fender and inner fender

(1 piece fender I think)

I made the front fender out of aircraft quality fiberglass and made a mold myself from a old circle industries  fender.

It does need another exhaust pipe, you can see daylight through this one.

(It has some rust issues)

In looking around, I have only seen 2 other Early Husqvarnas this year,

One was built by Mark Alcorn and was a beautiful display of restoration, I drooled over the bike, they had to keep a towel to wipe up all the slobber coming from people. That was up at the CZ World Championships in Marysville this year, and the other one I found was up in Washington, and both I would guess were worth upwards of $10k (now I know this is no $10,000 motorcycles, lets be real).

I have displayed this bike at a few events in its present condition,

and it is ALWAYS well received. I wish I could keep it, but have

other projects to deal with.

There is no title, (it's so old) but I will furnish a Bill of Sale

And  I want to keep the front number plate, it belongs to one of my CZ's

I still race vintage Motocross, even though I am getting up in the years,

I have CZ's, Bultaco's, Husqvarnas , and a bunch of 70's YZ's

Ask any questions that you need answered,

the reserve is a reasonably fare price,

not astronomical like some of the bikes I have looked at

Interesting motorcycles you probably didn't see1 of 11Next Last There’s no cave deep, mountain high or rock heavy enough to have thwarted news of Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike launch at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.
