Honda VTX description

2003 VTX1800, sharp bike, starts and runs fine. Just under 5000 miles. Has a corbin seat with removable back. This big boy fell on her side (RH) and scratched the footpeg, dented the tank, and put a few rash/dents/ marks on the muffler. There front brake lever had some rash and the mirror, but I blended it out and it isn't very noticeable. It has a rebuilt title, but is great for if you want a to do a custom paint job on it anyway or just do with as you will with the dent. The rest of the tank is fine. Shaft drive. Call for more details. 405-833-7189. The bars have a very slight bend on the RH side, not sure I would address it but, that is up to you. Feel free to call for a complete walk around on it PRIOR to purchasing! thanks for looking. I have been selling slighty damaged, motorcycles, cars, trucks, and boats for years. If you have another bike you interested in (other than Harleys) just ask. Inventory varies weekly.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

2014 WSBK – Laguna Seca Results

Mon, 14 Jul 2014

Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.

Having a Randy Mamola moment

Thu, 10 May 2012

Back in 1985 Randy Mamola was captured on film performing the most miraculous save of all time, hanging on for dear life as his Honda NSR500 tried to fling him from his seat. Recently, we've seen some impromptu homages to the original with Jonathan Rea at Assen and the near-save from Jakub Kornfeil in the Moto3 race at Jerez. Now we have on-board footage of American racer Genki Hagata calming a high-side at the Infineon Raceway in California.
