I'm leaving the state soon, otherwise I would never be letting go of this silver bucket of power. This is a shaft driven, 2007 Honda Shadow 1100 with only 7,751 mis. It has been well maintained and has all the extras you would need for a serious Alaskan adventure. Since you'll no doubt be doing some extensive traveling around our great state, I'll be throwing in these extras to help you get started:Contour Camera and Mount - That's right, that's a contour camera mounted to the handlebars. Perfect for catching a Moose running along the road. You can't always stop and take photos of the scenery but with this, you can catch it all.Airhawk seat - You'll want to get as much time on this bike as possible, so you'll need this to keep your butt from hurting.Travel bag - Works just fine for packing a few days worth of clothes and supplies. As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment. I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.

This ex-Fred Markel RC30 is coming up for auction with Bonhams in Feb 2013. It's a special bike. Merkel won the American championship three years in a row for Honda but was let go after controverial allegations were rumoured.

2014 WSBK – Laguna Seca Results

Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.
