Honda SL125 description

Up for auction is a complete 1971 Honda SL 125.  I bought this locally from someone who pulled it out of a garage that it had been sitting in since the late 80's.    The plates expired in 1989.  It appears all there and all original.  I believe one exhaust heat shield and an SL125 emblem on one of the side covers is missing.  Wheels appear straight, no missing spokes, tires hold air.  I bought this to use for a cool small displacement cafe type bike.  I looked for awhile to find one that was complete and had a clear title + keys.  If you've ever dealt with "lost" titles, bonded titles, etc, then you know that just having a title, keys, etc is worth saving several headaches!  The gas tank is rusted, but the bike overall has a nice patina/original look to it.  It doesn't fire-up or turn-over at all.  Please ask if there are any questions!  I'm located in Dallas Texas, and I can deliver for extra $$.  Come take a look, or check-out the pictures.  This will be a no reserve auction, so happy bidding!  $200 deposit required thru paypal, the rest payable in cash or bank transfer.  I'll accept a check for the balance, but it must clear before the bike leaves.

Get On Africa: Blog One

Wed, 06 Apr 2011

It's not every day you get to bomb around a field that was set aside for The Pope but that's exactly what we've done this morning; the first proper day of our Get On Africa adventure. We started the morning at the Riders for Health workshop where the mechanics took us through their setup and maintenance program for their bikes. The celebs ran through the basics of bike maintainance, the mechanic boasted that bikes never come back to the workshop broken, they just come in for scheduled servicing.

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Honda pulled the covers off a new streetbike series aimed at younger, shorter riders. The Honda CTX700 represents the first in a new series from Honda combining the three tenets of Comfort, Technology and Experience. It’s a platform “specifically engineered to make motorcycling more approachable, affordable and fun than ever before.” Our own Troy Siahaan is at the CTX700 models’ launch in Chicago and will have a full first-hand report next week, but for now here’s a quick look at Honda’s new streetbikes.

2012 Honda Gold Wing Tour: Day 2

Wed, 18 May 2011

Yesterday we told you about a cool ride we’d be taking on the revised 2012 Honda Gold Wing. Our journey began in Lorton, Virginia and included a long stretch of the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. For those who have never visited the BRP, you’re missing a truly fantastic road, rising and falling among gentle mountains packed with foliage.
