Honda RC51 description

This has been my baby since 2007! I'm selling her because at 53 I'm beginning to feel my age. You are buying my 2002 RC51 SP2. This Bike has been rock solid since the day I picked her up in Virginia. I change the oil religiously around every 3000-5000 miles. The chain and sprockets have less than 500 miles on them and both tires  are nearly new. I've really only ridden her around the State of Florida and not as my main form of transportation. We've gone to Bike Week and Biketober fest in Daytona  every year but other than that this is a weekend or "nice day to ride to work" bike. She is definitely not perfect but for the price I'm asking you will not find a better, more dependable, adult ridden RC51. I'm sure of that. Best thing to do is come take a look at her and judge for yourself. No joy rides. Serious buyers only please. If you've never ridden an RC51 they can jump up and spank you with their linear torque curve. You're going way faster tan you think. Anyway, she's been a Great Bike with a clear title that I would trust to ride to California if my wrists could take it. I'd like her to have a good home and be ridden the way she was meant to be ridden... Sort of responsibly. Oh yea, I almost forgot. I have spare odds and ends and stands that I will throw in.

Honda MotoGP Production Racer Undergoes Testing at Motegi

Mon, 27 May 2013

Development of Honda‘s new production racer is well underway, as the new (relatively) low-cost MotoGP racebike underwent testing at Japan’s Twin Ring Motegi circuit May 23-24. Conceived as a lower-cost option for race teams, the production racer project is running slightly behind schedule but Honda still expects it will available in time for the 2014 MotoGP season. Early reports estimate the price for the production racer to be around US$1.26 million, a substantial price, but still considerably less expensive than rumored $3.9 million it currently costs to lease a Honda RC213V for one season.

A Feb. 2 report from Roadracingworld.com states that American Honda has found Neil Hodgson a place to race in the 2009 AMA American Superbike Championship. This new place should feel a lot like his former American Honda home.

Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of  resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
