Honda Other description

Here's a nice little 1972 Honda SL70 with a new Lifan 125cc engine, new tires, and new handle bars. Starts easy, runs and rides well, this bike is really fun to ride. The new engine was put in within the last year, it has been sitting alot since so it might benefit from a carb cleaning at this point. VIN# SL70-1049966, build date 8/71. Seat is in great shape with no rips, gas tank has been lined, paint on the tank and rear fender is showing scratches and general wear. Front fender and side covers were repainted and don't quite match the original paint (not a great quality repaint), new decals on the side covers. Rear end of the front fender was trimmed off to accommodate the cylinder head of the larger engine. Chrome is presentable, there are some rust spots on the rims and some minor pitting in the fork tubes. Frame has original paint. Headlamp and kill switch do not work. Muffler and engine have some scratches. Sold with bill of sale only. This little SL70 would make a great Christmas gift. I have the original engine that was removed from this bike for sale for $200, it was supposedly running when it was removed. $100 deposit via Paypal due within 24 hours of auction end, balance due in cash or cashier's check, all funds must clear before the bike is released. This bike is local pick up only in Springfield, Illinois. Any and all shipping arrangements are the buyer's responsibility, but I'll do what I can to accommodate shipping. Please pick up within two weeks of auction end, if you need a bit more time I'll work with you.

Lorenzo, Spies Call Test a Success Despite Crashes

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies each crashed but both riders deemed the third and final day of MotoGP testing in Malaysia a success. Lorenzo and Spies both crashed during the morning of the test but were unhurt. Despite the minor setback, both riders managed to get a lot done at the Sepang International Circuit.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

2012 Honda Ace CB125 and Ace CB125-D – $627 Motorcycles for African Market

Thu, 29 Sep 2011

Honda announced two low-priced small-displacement motorcycles to be produced and sold in Nigeria. The Honda Ace CB125 and Ace CB125-D were developed to be affordable, durable, easy to use and offer good fuel economy. Honda will introduce the CB125 and CB125-D at about 100,000 Nigerian naira (US$627), a price point that Honda expects to be affordable for many Nigerians, with the manufacturer targeting annual sales of 100,000 units.
