1980 Honda XL250S
I picked this item up at auction. The person selling it told me that it had been sitting for 30 years or so. It is a vintage year with very low miles. I had to replace the carburetor because the gas had dried out and plugged\corroded everything inside the carb. Once I did that, the unit started right up and runs great. I've been using it all summer and have had lots of fun with it however; I just picked up a Harley and now this needs to go. This is a dual purpose trail\street bike. Does great on the trails and can easily be driven to the trails without having to haul it. I picked up a re-jetting kit since we are at high altitude. I will include the kit with the sale. 45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

San Carlo Gresini To Field CRT Entry with Honda CBR1000RR Engine
Tue, 15 Nov 2011The San Carlo Gresini race team announced it will compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship as a Claiming Rules Team with a Honda CBR1000RR engine in an FTR prototype chassis. The move is a late, but unfortunately necessary change from the team’s original plan to run the factory-level Honda RC213V racebike. The late Marco Simoncelli was tabbed to ride the newest version of Honda’s MotoGP machine next season, but after his tragic death, Gresini had to find another option if it wanted to continue racing.
