                                                                                     1972 Honda SL350 Motosport

You are bidding on a piece of Honda motorcycle history.  Have you ever wanted to buy a 1 owner, original vintage bike?  Well, here it is.  This SL350 Motosport has been owned by the same person since 7-14-1972.   I have the clear title to the bike in my possession.  The bike has not been started in about 10 years, but, it kicks over with very good compression, the throttle works the carb slides very nicely, the clutch works good, both front and rear brakes work good,  and with a charger on the battery, the electric stuff works except the rear tail light bulb needs replaced as does the rear tail light lense.  The front fender is not original.   The mufflers and exhaust are original as is the paint and everything else on the bike.  If i had the time, I bet i could get the bike up and running in a few hours and I am not a mechanic and I don't have the time.  Here is your opportunity to buy a rare vintage Honda.  Not many of these SL350's around any more.  I bought one back in 1971 brand new and rode it all over the eastern United States when I was in college.  It was a blast to ride.  Good on the roads and good on the trails.  Had room for my sweetie(s) on the back too!!  lol Tires are decent.  Bike still has original factory stickers on it.  Mufflers are original and kinda so so.  Headers exhaust very good.  Original silver frame.  Original electric wiring harness, coils etc are all intact and working as far as I can tell.  This bike is sold as is where is.  All inspections are welcomed.  All sales are final.  Bidders with less than 10 positive feedbacks must contact me first, or, I will have to cancel your bid.   Please, do not bid if you are needing to talk to your spouse, or you have to check on shipping costs, or an other contingencies you can think of.  Bid only if you are ready, willing and able.  Sorry, but I have had way too many problems with bidders lately so I need to explain this.  Payment only by Pay Pal.  When the auction ends, the winning bidder will send me a message with your email address that is linked to your Pay Pal account so I may send you the Invoice for the full amount.  Thanks much.  If you have any questions about the bike or my terms, by all means fire away.  Troublemakers need not participate.

This bike is located in Onsted, Michigan 49265 which is 62 miles southwest of Detroit and 45 minutes northwest of Toledo, Ohio.  I do not ship vehicles,  and I am not a dealer or a mechanic.  The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for their own shipping or pick the vehicle up.  I will store the vehicle for up to 30 days.  Please try to get it picked up by then, otherwise, storage fees of $10 per day will be added to what you owe. Thanks.

PAYMENT:  Please, PAY PAL ONLY.   I send you an Invoice as soon as the auction ends and you pay the Invoice then please.  You will need to give me your email address as soon as you buy the bike ok?  These are my terms.  Thank you.

MotoGP Lifts Rookie Rule, Caps Factory Prototype Entries and Adjusts Other Regulations

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

As expected, MotoGP organizers have officially lifted the rule barring rookies from racing for factory teams, but the Grand Prix Commission also tweaked some other regulations including a cap on factory prototype machines. We’ve discussed the lifting of the rookie rule already, with the main impetus being to allow a manufacturer such as Honda to sign up-and-coming Moto2 star Marc Marquez when he is expected to move up to the premiere class next season. As of Jan.

Stoner Tops Time Sheets as Honda MotoGP Testing Resumes

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

Missing a day of testing didn’t appear to have a negative effect on Honda riders Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa. After missing the second day of testing because of a potential engine problem, the Repsol Honda riders were back on the track for Day 3 where they regained the top two spots on the time sheets. Honda held back Stoner and Pedrosa as well as satellite team riders Alvaro Bautista and Stefan Bradl yesterday to investigate an engine warning light that lit up on the dash of Pedrosa’s RC213V on Day 1.

After 10 years of working as a helicopter mechanic, Samuel Guertin founded Clockwork Motorcycles east of Montreal and began building cars and motorcycles

This Honda CB750 is the fourth work of Clockwork Motorcycles: “The bike looked pretty funny,” says the founder of the workshop. They tried to turn the 1971 model into a bobber, but unsuccessfully. I decided it deserved better." Having decided to make a real bobber, Samuel called the project "Fury".
