    Nice 1981 GL1100 Goldwing for bid.  This bike is in good overall condition for a 30 year old bike.  It has quite a few features for the year and comes as pictured with air suspension, locking side bags, top trunk, helmet locks, foam grips, throttle lock cruise control, and an after cd player (needs to be installed).  It starts right up even after sitting and idles great (it was running when I took the pics).  Doesn't burn or drip oil or any other fluid either.  Brakes work but could use a little attention in the future.  The front squeaks a little when stopping and the rear is a little weak (probably just needs to be bled).  The trans shifts smoothly with no clunks and the clutch works as it should too.  The bike has never been dropped or laid over to my knowledge but does have some scratches here and there in the paint from use (mostly on top of the bag covers and tank).  The chrome and engine still shine.  The windshield is clear and isn't hazed like most of them are.  All the lights work good.  Tires have at least 1 season of riding left on them.   I wouldn't hesitate to ride it anywhere and it is actually one of the most comfortable bikes I have ever ridden.  Just selling to get something a little more sporty.  Has clear title ready to go!  It will sell with NO RESERVE to the high bidder regardless of sale price.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  $100 paypal deposit due within 48 hours.  Full payment due in cash in person within 7 days unless other arrangements are made prior to the auction end.

    I bought this from a Harley Davidson dealership a couple of years ago.  They had taken it on a trade-in.  I wanted it to be a project bike but haven't had time to work on it.  When they rolled it off the truck on delivery it started up and ran well.  I think it needs front fork seals as there is some evidence of leakage around front forks. It's been in my neighbors heated basement garage but it has been sitting.  Needs brakes for sure.  Rest may be minimal but I'm not sure about carb seals now since it's been sitting.  Gas tank was drained when bike was stored though. Custom tooled leather seats and other custom features.  Cool looking bike.  That's about all I know.  If you know about bikes you can get this on the road with a fairly minimal investment.  Otherwise you can at least "part it out" and probably double your money.  I just need to get it out of my neighbors garage before his wife kills him and me.

    Condition:  The bike is in excellent running condition.  The motor runs excellent and has been very well maintained.  There are some fixers about this bike.  (1) the headlight assembly is not there, I had troubles with it on my trip from Colorado to New York, so I removed it and replaced with a universal round headlight (which works fine). (2) the headlight switch will need replacing to have high and low beams- I have it on low permanently.  (3) the tachometer just stop working about a month ago so it needs a new tach cable.        This bike will be very easy to make mint blue book value,  it currently would fall under good blue book which is around $3400.   I use this bike nearly everyday, but I need money and have to get my truck on the road. Features:   There are many cool lights and chrome accessories on this bike.  The stereo is new as of April with new speakers as well...

    This might be the cleanest GL1100 Interstate you will come across and it really only has 17,736 kilometres on it.  I purchased it from the original owner which rode it occasionally and only took on one extended trip, and he claimed that the only time that it was outside overnight was 10 days when he was on his trip. and when he returned, he brought it to the shop I work at and I put new Michelin Hi-Tour  tires on it for him and he rode it home, put in his garage, tarped it and never moved after that and that was in 1989 and he kept in his heated garage until approximately 2 years ago when I purchased from him.   I am a 40 year+ Honda motorcycle Tech, {at the same dealership} so bringing this unit "back to life" was nothing out of the ordinary for me.
