Honda Gold Wing description

You are bidding on a 1984 Honda Goldwing GL1200 Interstate.  This motorcycle has received a ground up rejuvenation.  Some of the highlights of the work include:

ENGINE AND EXHAUST

Engine/transmission cases were not split but were flushed.  Compression checked out at 155 to 160.  New stator, clutch plates, timing belts, filters, thermostat.  Clutch slave cylinder was rebuilt with new seals.  Carbs cleaned and rebuilt with OEM parts including diaphragms. New air filter,  fuel lines, filter and vacuum hoses. New diaphragm in anti after burn valve. Exhaust is new MAC with downturn tips. New radiator hoses and clamps. New spark plugs. Carbs are vacuum balanced.

FRAME AND SUSPENSION

The frame and components were cleaned, inspected and re-painted.  The front forks were disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt with new seals and dust caps.  New tapered steering head bearings are installed.  The rear swing arm received new seals and bearings. The final drive was flushed, inspected, refilled and new seals on output shaft.  Rear shocks received new fluids and rubber mounting bushings.

BODY

All body work was prepped and painted with PPG products including epoxy primer. Pin striping is 3M product on top of clear coat.  New seat cover on good foam. The fuel tank was cleaned and inspected with no rust.

BRAKES

The front and rear brake systems received a complete overhaul which included a thorough cleaning, new HEL hoses and fittings, new master cylinder and caliper rebuild kits, new pads and new master cylinder site glass.

ELECTRICAL

The wiring harness was inspected, repaired and all connections cleaned. New regulator, rear brake light switch, rear stop light bar, fuse block and fuses, headlight, battery, silicon rectifiers, stator connectors, starter solenoid. 

WHEELS AND TIRES

New Michelin Commander tires front and rear. New front and rear wheel bearings and seals.

MISC. ITEMS

New throttle, speedo and choke cables. Bike comes with Honda service and parts manual.  New throttle tube and grips. All locks work properly and have keys.

Isle of Man TT 2013: Dainese Superbike Race Results

It was delayed by a day but the Isle of Man TT’s Dainese Superbike race finally went underway Sunday. Originally scheduled to open the 2013 Isle of Man TT, the race was pushed back a day because poor weather earlier in the week prevented proper practice and qualifying. Even then, the Superbike race was delayed 45 minutes from its rescheduled start time due to a traffic accident.

2014 WSBK – Aragon Results

Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes put on a clinic this weekend, leading every lap in both races to claim a pair of wins at Spain’s Motorland Aragon circuit. Sykes’ Kawasaki teammate Loris Baz was right there with him, recording a pair of second-place podiums to give Team Green a pair of one-two finishes. Sykes and Baz were also one-two in the Superpole qualifying on this nearly flawless weekend for the Kawasaki factory team.

Riding The Arctic Circle…On A Honda C90
