Honda CT description

2014 Honda CTX700, 2014 Honda CTX700 Tomorrow s Touring Twin The open road has never looked more inviting than when you're rolling along on the new 2014 Honda CTX700. Made for travel with an efficient fairing and windscreen up front, the CTX700 boasts features that make it an ideal partner for exploring all that the open road can offer. It starts with great rider accommodations, thanks in large part to a comfy seat that's only 28.3 inches high a handy aid around town. Then there's the powerful, smooth-running 670cc engine with its twin cylinders canted 62 degrees forward for better weight distribution and a lower center of gravity for nimble handling. There's also the option of an easy-to-use automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) or a standard six-speed manual; the DCT allows riders to instantly choose between a fully automatic mode or the option of more active gear selection via "paddle-shift" type buttons on the handlebar. Better yet, the CTX700D also comes equipped with an Antilock Braking System (ABS). With its broad power curve, light and nimble handling, roomy riding accommodations and smooth engine, the CTX700 excels at long-range travel, but these qualities also make it a terrific weekend warrior or daily rider. With all this and more, all in a very affordable package, get out and see that destination you've been wanting to visit on the Honda CTX700. Talk about a bike that can do it all: Honda s new 2014 CTX700 is your new dream machine. Part of our new CTX series, the CTX700 offers the comfort and weather protection of a full fairing, as well as a laid-back riding position with more forward-set hand controls and footpegs. A full range of Honda Genuine Accessories lets you set it up with saddlebags, backrests, and just about any other touring- or comfort-related feature you could ever want. Best of all, you can get the new CTX700 in two versions: one with our conventional six-speed manual transmission, and one equipped with our unique automatic transmission, the revolutionary Honda Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The CTX700 offers an automatic transmission and ABS version at a low $8,799 base MSRP*. With the DCT automatic transmission, you can shift with the push of a handlebar-mounted button, or select the automatic mode and the bike will shift itself. Plus, you get Anti-Lock Brakes for improved stopping in less than ideal conditions. With its relaxed riding position, the new CTX700 allows you to settle down into the bike a bit more, and get to stretch out more, too. The up-front pegs and low seat make it easy to put your feet down at stoplights, too. The CTX700 s 670cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine produces tons of torque and enough power for easy two-up touring. Honda twins are famous for their wide powerbands and fuel efficiency, and this new engine is one of our best. We want the new CTX700 to be a bike you ll want to ride every day, not just on weekends. That s why we w

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

A lawnmower powered by the engine from a Honda VTR1000F Superhawk has set a new Guinness record for the world’s fastest mower. Honda UK revealed its 996cc V-Twin-powered Mean Mower last summer, claiming it had been tested at a speed of 100 mph but could reach a theoretical top speed of 133 mph. Those claims were put to the test in March at the IDIADA Proving Ground in Tarragona, Spain, with an official Guinness World Records adjudicator on hand to observe.

Honda Developing V4 MotoGP Production Racer

Fri, 22 Jun 2012

Honda is reportedly developing a production racer based on its RC213V racebike that could be sold to teams looking to compete in MotoGP. The new racebike is expected to be of a lower-spec than the RC213V prototype but perform better than a CRT machine with a production-based engine. According to a report by racing site MotoMatters and French magazine Moto Journal, the new V4-engined production racer will be sold to race teams instead of being leased, as is the case with current satellite teams and their race prototypes.
