*****Rare 1973 Honda Elsinore 250M!***** ****Update**** It has been brought to my attention from a viewer of the bike, that it may be a 1974 Elsinore 250, not a 1973. I advertised it as labeled and could not confirm the vin # on any sites online. We are not trying to represent the bike as anything other than what it is, a restored Elsinore 250. It was listed as labeled, but as it was brought to our attention, that there are very minimal differences between the two years and production runs, and this bikes vin #'s could be in the '74 production run. If any viewers have any way to confirm the year, via vin #'s, we would appreciate any effort and assistance. I included a pic of one of the references online that I couldn't confirm with. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.
Honda’s New Documentary: Dreams vs Nightmares [trailer]
Wed, 24 Jun 2009Honda have been releasing video documentaries on… well… everything! Why? Well to toot their own horn and remind you that Honda is crazy cool. Actually, their videos aren’t that bad, although somewhat dramatic. I hunkered down and watched their “Failure: The Secret to Success” video and it held my attention. Their new video is titled “Dreams vs Nightmares”, which features a few notable people such as Clive Barker and Deepak Chopra. I’m curious to see how they take this theme and use it to show how and why Honda creates and designs the products they make.
14-Year-Old Canadian Stacey Nesbitt First Woman to Win a National Road Racing Title
Mon, 22 Aug 2011Quebec teenager Stacey Nesbitt has won the Canadian Superbike Championship’s 2011 Honda CBR125R Challenge title. We’re still checking, but organizers are already calling Nesbitt the first woman to win a national road racing championship (excluding women-only categories). The 14-year-old from St-Lazare, Quebec, swept both Honda CBR125R Challenge races in the season finale at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, to win the title with 421 points, 52 points ahead of runner-up Austin Shaw-O’Leary.
