Honda CH150D description

Due to losing dry storage space, we're looking to find our Elite a new home. We acquired this bike about three years ago with about 1300 miles. We have always considered this example to be an extremely reliable daily rider. During our ownership, we have replaced several maintenance items and have upgraded several components to improve performance and overall reliability. These items include:

-New Bridgestone MOLAS-9 Tires (3.5-10)

-New brake shoes, front and rear

-Upgraded to CH250 carburetor with the appropriate jetting

-UNI pod filter

-Governor removed from exhaust

-New clutch assembly

-Racing variator, drive face

-Dr. Pulley slider weights

With the upgrades, top speed has increased by over 10mph. Highway acceleration and pull is more than adequate. However, I wouldn't recommend prolonged highway use, as the braking system overheats quickly while at speed. Otherwise, drivability is for the most part, unchanged. Aside from what's listed above, the bike is original and unchanged.

We're not in a huge hurry to move this bike on, so we don't mind waiting for the right buyer. The scooter is also listed locally, so we reserve the right to terminate the auction prior to ending. An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy. I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.
