Honda CB description

1975 Honda Cb 550, This is truly a one of a kind 1975 Honda CB550k cafe racer. Every part on this bike was carefully selected to try to invoke that classic cafe racer look. The tank was hammered by hand to put in the knee inserts and front dimples. The bump-stop seat is hand laid fiberglass that is a one off part custom made for this project. The seat also serves to hide the battery stored underneath. The old side covers have been removed and the frame de-tabbed. The electronics have been relocated to underneath the seat leaving the triangle area more open. Other notable changes are clubman bars, K&N style pod air filters, brand new but subtle turn signal/horn/headlight switch and on-off/kill switch, LED rear brake light. As for the normal things that a buyer needs to know. This is NOT a project bike. Come on over, crank it up, and away you go! Tires are brand new (less than 100 miles) Avon Roadmasters. New brake pads front and rear. Brakes work great. Engine starts and runs like a dream. Engine does NOT leak oil! The carbs have recently been removed and completely rebuilt and synched. They are properly jetted to accommodate the more open exhaust and pod filters. The kick start and push button start are both fully functional. All of the rest of the electronics are fully functional i.e. horn, headlight, brakes, dummy lights. The 3,000 mile service procedure was just done. I'm sure that I've forgotten some pertinent info so if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me anytime and I will respond in a timely manner. $2,900.00 8649771282

AMA Supercross: 2012 New Orleans Results

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.

Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?

Isle of Man TT 2013: Lightweight TT Race Results

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

James Hillier set new lap time and race time records in a dominating victory in the Lightweight TT race for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. All three of the Kawasaki rider’s lap times were faster than the previous lap record for the Lightweight TT class, for a record overall time of 57:42.245 and average speed of 117.694 mph. The race started with another Kawasaki rider (the class is dominated with Kawasaki Ninja 650s with a few Suzuki SV650s) Dean Harrison taking the early lead through the Glen Helen viewpoint but Hillier was right on his tail about half a second behind.
