Up for bid is a very nice example of a 1973 Honda CB500F. We have tried to stick to modifications that enhance the appearance of the bike without radically altering it. No chassis modifications were made, simply cosmetic and performance upgrades. Here is a partial listing of the parts and modifications: - MAC 4 into 1 header - Powder coated frame, wheel rims, side stand and swing arm - Polished engine covers, wheel hubs, fork sliders and hand controls - Painted engine block and head - Super bike bend bars with Biltwell grips - Carburetors rebuilt, jetted to the exhaust and fitted with Uni pod filters - New spokes, nipples and Metzeler tires - NOS tank emblems and reproduction side cover emblems - Original front and rear fenders (front fender has been shortened) - New speedo and tachometer in custom bracket. (We have the original gauges if desired) - Custom seat based on original pan. This allows the factory hinge to remain operable. - New Candy Bacchus Olive paint on original tank and side covers. - New chain and sprockets The bike is in excellent running and riding condition. Wed, 28 Jul 2010Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Voluntary Recall for Continental ContiMotion Sport-Touring Tires
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Continental Tire announced a voluntary recall campaign for certain ContiMotion sport-touring tires. According to Continental, market feedback has shown some tires may experience uneven wear from the 180/60R16 74H ContiMotion rear tires. Tires may develop groove cracking and, in some cases, belt lift, conditions which can lead to a loss of tire inflation pressure and a potential for loss of control.
