Harley-Davidson Touring description

This bike truely is a cream puff. Pretty much as close to new as you can get. What you see is what you get, no lies, no surprises, clear title. This bike was only ridden in the dead of summer, and has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse the rest of the time. If you live local and want to look at it, please email and we can arrange it. Serious inquiries only. The high bidder will win this bike. I expect prompt payment and communication on this item. If 4 days goes by after the auction ends and there's no communication, I will take the necessary steps to cancel the sale and relist the bike. Here is some further info on the bike:

"The entire line of Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycles received updated frames for the 2009 model year, and the 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic is also the recipient of an updated exhaust system and cast-aluminum wheels, as well. The 2009 Electra Glide Classic retains its 96-cubic inch V-twin engine, but sports revised suspension via the fork and shocks, and has a new isolated drive system to reduce vibration throughout the engine's power band.

Harley Davidson retained the tried-and-true 96 cubic inch air cooled V-twin engine for the 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic, as well as the six-speed transmission and chain drive system. With electronic sequential port fuel injection, the 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic engine produces 92.6 lb/ft of torque at just 3,500 RPM, all the while delivering an impressive 54 miles per gallon highway fuel economy and 35 miles per gallon city.

Luxury amenities for the 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic include all the requisite do-dads you expect on a Harley Davidson touring motorcycle, including a fairing-mounted electronic speedometer with odometer, clock on the Harman/Kardon advanced audio system, a 40-watt dual-speaker AM/FM/WB/CD/MP3 capable system, mileage countdown, and engine diagnostics readout. Standard lux amenities include what might as well be called a La-Z-Boy passenger seat coupled with a driver's saddle that rises up high enough in back to support the lower back, floorboards, and windscreen."

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.

Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.
