Harley-Davidson Touring description

1982 Harley Davidson Tour Glide Classic

This bike was just built to bring to Sturgis. We wanted to build something completely different than what we are known for. So we picked up an old school Shovelhead bagger to get started. We wanted a down and dirty bagger that was bare bones and not flashy.

  • Frame was stretched and raked
  • LayFrame Chassis - no kickstand
  • HHI Triple Trees
  • Air FX front air ride
  • Monroe Rear Shocks
  • Accuair VU4 valve system
  • Adjustable Pressure Switch
  • Custom Stainless Steel Air Tanks
  • Viair 280c Compressor
  • All Airride is built in right side saddlebag with quick disconects
  • 23" Spoke front wheel (sealed wheel bearings)
  • dual 11.5" front brake discs
  • 2000-2007 HD front brake calipers w/  brand new brake pads
  • 2000-2007 HD lower fork legs
  • Custom Seat
  • New Rear Tire
  • New HD Battery
  • New Throttle/Idle Cables
  • New Front and rear brake lines
  • Rear fender modified to keep factory with lay frame
  • Front Fender modified to keep factory with 23" Front Wheel
  • S&S Carb
  • S&S Oil Pump
  • Fresh oil change, trans fluid and bike completely inspected to be reliable

This bike is a super fun old school bagger. Completely different from the flashy 30" baggers that are out there today. If you are looking to blend in this isn't the bike. This bike is a 35 year old shovelhead, so your dang right it leaks and is loud! Original paint - so it is by far in great shape. But it does run solid and shifts through all the gears no problems at all. it is a 5 speed trans. We converted the front end completely to 2000-2007. The speedo does not work due to no speedo drive on the front wheel currently (tach does work). Please, call or email us if you have any questions at all.

Fri, 10 Jun 2011

Brammo has hired former Harley-Davidson dealer development director Jim Marcolina to develop the electric motorcycle maker’s North American dealer network. Marcolina was director of dealer development and dealer relations at Harley-Davidson after joining the Motor Company as a district sales manager. Brammo will rely on Marcolina’s experience working with Harley-Davidson’s dealer network to help establish its own fledgling network.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

Harley Skateboard Trick – Awesome Motorcycle Jump

Tue, 28 Apr 2009

Everything needs to be jumped over with a skateboard at some point in human history.  People, benches, cars, cats, senior citizens, conclusions, ships, …. I’m getting a little metaphorical here…  Why not motorcycles?  Let’s jump some motorcycles on a skateboard and let’s make them Harley-Davidson motorcycles to boot. Harley is on fire with releasing “viral video” to promote their Dark Custom line and have now released this interesting video of a “modded” skateboard with fireworks strapped to it flying over some bikes.  Personally, I think it  looks like the guy is hanging from a wire when he crosses over those bikes.
