1972 Harley-davidson Touring on 2040-motos
Harley-Davidson Touring description
The Gentleman who originally bought this bike, brand new in 1972, when he got out of Vietnam kept it for about 10 years before selling it to a close friend, who owned it for approximately another 8 years. The original owner then ended up buying it back from his friend and held onto it for another 10 years, or so, until he passed away. It has been in an estate for the last couple of years, and it has been occasionally exercised and well maintained with fluids, etc.
Bikes with original paint like this are hard to find, especially in a survivor condition !!! We believe the odometer to be the true miles, judging from the condition of the rest of the bike.
This is an excellent running motorcycle and a very rare opportunity to purchase!!!

If you’ve been paying attention around here, you’ll know that we love ice racing here on Motorcycle.com. Editors Troy Siahaan and Tom Roderick got a first-hand taste of ice racing last winter, and we got a real kick out of seeing racers Brad Baker, Jared Mees and Nichole Mees taking Harley-Davidson Street 750s onto ice during the Winter X Games. That’s why we’re looking forward to the American Motorcyclist Association Ice Racing Grand Championships, Feb.Mon, 04 Mar 2013 00:00:00 -0800
Harley-Davidson is expanding its assembly operations in India, increasing the number of models imported as complete knockdown kits to nine. Harley-Davidson will now assemble the Fat Boy, Fat Boy Special and Heritage Softail Classic in India, joining six models already being assembled in India. The move follows India’s new budget which increases import duties on motorcycles with engines larger than 800cc to 75% from the previous rate of 60%.
