Rare WWII 1942 U Harley Davidson 1200 CC Flathead with original metal left handed side car and 4 speed transmission. One of 1000 sold to South African Union defense forces and delivered from 1942 to 1944 . This Motorcycle was acquired in South Africa (SA) and shipped to the US in the late 90s for restoration. The Motorcycle was completed in the early 2000s and has been driven just over 200 miles. I recently completed a full inspection and tuning and is in prime running condition and starts first kick. Overall in excellent condition with a beautiful Electric Blue paint. The Motorcycle has a current FL title and registration. I have Documentation from the engine purchase and shipment from Nicosia, Cypress to Pretoria SA in the 90’s and from SA to US. The Motorcycle is 85+% original including sidecar, frame, fenders, gas tanks and seat, 6 VDC operation. Please feel free to email questions.

For the U.S., customers can find the new Twin-Cooled engine technology on the Electra Glide Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and the Tri-Glide, but customers in Europe will also find a Twin-Cooled engine mounted on the Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
