Vehicle Description:

Fall Clearance - Unloading some excess inventory below wholesale value.
This 1200 Sportster would be a great starting point for a XR, or XLCR winter project. This bike was being ridden daily until the engine failed. We have not worked on this bike, we do not know what is wrong with the engine, we do not have a key, and it does not appear to even have an ignition switch. Expect many thing to be worn & cobbled on this old bike, but it is mostly complete, and will be an excellent buy for someone with the knowledge to build a custom ride.

This cycle is sold with a Clean and Clear Wisconsin Title.
Wisconsin residents are subject to WI sales tax and title/registration charges.  No dealer fees. 


Payment Details:
  • A $500. NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction, and is to be paid by PayPal.  If you are unable to pay the deposit by PayPal, you MUST overnight a US Postal Money Order or Certified Cashier's Check.  Please email us the tracking number.
  • The full balance must be received within 7 days of the auction's end in the form of US Postal Money Orders, a Certified Cashier's Check, Bank Wire or cash.  Cash is only accepted in person.  
  • PayPal is only accepted for the the deposit, and can not be used for the balance.

The bike build project is a collaboration between the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Sturgis Brown High School, Black Hills Harley-Davidson, Terry Components, Dakota V-Twin and a large group of industry-leading parts sponsors. The program provides the opportunity for Sturgis Brown High School students to learn from leading motorcycle industry professionals in order to create a one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle from a stock Harley-Davidson.

Bred in America, built in India the new Revolution X platform is meant to be Harley’s new price point model. The two motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a narrow, agile chassis with a low seat height (26.3 inches), new suspension, a wide handlebar and minimalist styling. Not all markets will get both engine sizes, but the U.S. will. The 500 costs $6700 and the 750 is $7500.
