Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Beautiful and in perfect condition, this Crimson Red Sunglo 2008 Sportster Roadster [XL1200R] with only 3600 miles is for sale. There are a bunch of Harleys for sale and a large number of them are Sportsters. However, only a small percentage of them are Roadsters, fewer are 2008 Roadsters and even fewer have all of the genuine H-D accessories that this one has. It is spotless and in showroom condition. You will not find a cleaner Harley, it is like new. Cleaned after every ride and always garaged. Loaded with accessories, over $2300 worth of genuine Harley accessories including the Harley matching color hard saddlebags [$1499.95], Harley quick release windshield [$354.95], Harley chrome engine guard [$209.95], Harley low restriction air cleaner [$119.95] Harley front turn signal relocation kit [$29.95], Harley louder chrome horn [$29.99], Harley Screamin' Eagle Front Fork Brace [$184.95], Harley LayBack License Plate Mounting Kit [$41.95] (I think that covers all of the accessories) and a new Harley Davidson AGM battery. The high performance 1200cc engine is fuel injected. Standard H-D factory equipment on the Roadster includes a tachometer mounted next to the speedometer on the center of the handlebars, dual front disk brakes, a performance camshaft and high flow heads. This is the only Roadster that is factory equipped with a 4.5 gallon fuel tank, the 2004 - 2007 model years have a 3.5 gallon 'peanut' tank. This XL1200R still is running a stock exhaust system but the low restriction air filter increases performance. 2008 is the first year for this color and the last year the Roadster was produced, perhaps the Roadster's best model year. It could become a Collector's Item, but then again, who knows for sure? Leave a telephone number with your email response if you would like a callback. Thanks for looking.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
